Commercial Buildings - Accreditation

Elmhurst is offering FREE Commercial Accreditation (offer ends 31st March 2010)

Overview

Elmhurst Energy Systems to operate an Accreditation Scheme for Energy Assessors that satisfies the certificates and inspections requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations for public buildings and non-dwellings (commercial buildings).

Please note: If you are training with Elmhurst on APEL Commercial Level 4 new build or APEL Commercial DECs your training application form includes Accreditation.

In order to produce certificates in England & Wales and Northern Ireland, an individual must be a registered member of a Government approved Accreditation Scheme, such as that operated by Elmhurst Energy. The role of the Accreditation Scheme is to ensure that all certificates are produced by persons who are appropriately qualified, insured and subject to strict independent quality standards.

Elmhurst Accreditation Strands covering the commercial building sector are as follows:

  • Commercial Energy Assessor Accreditation for Level 3 (existing buildings)
  • Commercial Energy Assessor Accreditation for level 4 (existing & new build)
  • Commercial Energy Assessor Accreditation for Display Energy Certificates (DECs)

Elmhurst operates a single CEA scheme which covers all of these strands and applicants may apply for all strands for which they are qualified.  Once Accredited, members can add additional strands but will incur an administrative charge.

Commercial Energy Assessor level 3, 4 and DECs Accreditation only application form - for individuals already qualified
