elmPPC Software

elmPPC is a simple to understand system and enables users to be up and running quickly, producing energy reports on the move. It is free of charge and is only available to Elmhurst Accredited DEAs in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and to those DEAs who are members of the Elmhurst Scottish Protocol.

elmPPC allows DEAs to undertake RdSAP calculations whilst on the move; it is user friendly and has the same look and feel as the RdSAP software currently available in the Elmhurst Members Area

Assessors can enter data directly into the elmPPC whilst undertaking an energy survey, the advantages are that results can be calculated instantaneously, recommendations and results can be reviewed and ultimately, EPCs can be lodged whilst on site.

Specifications for Pocket PCs
elmPPC is not restricted to any specific Pocket PCs, this should enable DEAs to choose hardware of their own choice that works for their own business requirements. Please note: The release of the current version of elmPPC is compatible with Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5 only.  elmPPC is designed to be used with the majority of Pocket PCs currently on the market, please find below both a minimum and recommended specification list (if unsure, please contact your hardware literature or manufacturer).

Minimum Specification for PPC Device
•    Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 or 6.5

•    ARM or x86 compatible processor
•    20Mb available storage for installation
•    40Mb minimum programme memory

Recommended Specification for PPC Device
•    Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 or 6.5
•    ARM version 4 compatible CPU
•    40Mb available storage for installation (either on device or SD Card)
•    50Mb minimum programme memory
•    Wi-Fi compatible device

 

The elmPPC software installation file can be downloaded from the Elmhurst Members Area to your desktop/laptop PC and then synchronised to your PPC device. Your PC should have an internet connection and the following minimum specification:

PC Specifications
•    Windows XP / Vista / 7
•    One available USB port.
•    Microsoft ActiveSync / Windows Mobile Device Center (can be downloaded from Microsoft for free, if required, dependent on your operating system)
•    Internet connection
