Existing Buildings - Software
What is the Elmhurst Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP) Software and what does it do?
Reduced Data SAP (RdSAP) is the Government's National Calculation Methodology for the energy efficiency assessment of existing dwellings and enables Domestic Energy Assessors to produce EPCs from data collected at a dwelling, during an observational survey, without the need for invasive or destructive investigation. All Elmhurst SAP software is independently checked and approved by Government to ensure it calculates the energy ratings and produces EPCs in accordance with the required Government standards.
The national RdSAP methodology has in part been developed based on Elmhurst own proprietary Streamline system; see Elmhurst history for more details. Building on our unrivalled 15 years of SAP experience in this field, Elmhurst now provides market leading RdSAP software solutions which are available to Elmhurst accredited energy assessors on-line, via Pocket PCs applications and via a number of third party systems.
The Elmhurst RdSAP Software calculates the Energy Performance (SAP) rating and Environmental Impact Rating of an existing dwelling, and produces the legally valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which includes a series of recommendations of ways to improve the energy performance of a dwelling.
Elmhurst also provides access to the on-line RdSAP software during DEA training, this allows for trainees to thoroughly test, train and be familiar with a Government approved version of the software.
How easy is it to use the RdSAP Software?
The key to the success of Elmhurst RdSAP is the simplicity of the survey system and the on-line availability of the software which allows it to be accessed 24hours and 7 days a week. This Elmhurst system is the most easily used RdSAP system available, right from the comprehensive and easy to understand user manual, survey report form, to user friendly software and professional technical support helpline for surveying and IT related issues (Helpline available Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
NEW!
elm PPC is the latest RdSAP software for use on Pocket PCs!
elm PPC enables Elmhurst DEAs to produce energy reports on the move. It is free of charge and is only available to Elmhurst Accredited DEAs in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and to those DEAs who are members of the Elmhurst Scottish Protocol. It is user friendly and has the same look and feel as the RdSAP software currently available in a secure online portal, accessed once Accredited with Elmhurst.
Assessors can enter data directly into the elm PPC whilst undertaking an energy survey, the advantages are that results can be calculated instantaneously, recommendations and results can be reviewed and ultimately EPCs can be lodged all whilst on site.
